Hey there! Have you heard about the new Mining and Smithing rework? Both skills, formerly quite boring and not entirely useful, have had a complete overhaul. From some minor changes in level requirements to new ores, armor, and a totally new system, this update has the fire behind it. Firstly, the small changes. Rune armor, which requires level 50 defense to wear, required 80 smithing to make, making it pretty much useless. Jagex has fixed that, lowering the requirements to 50 smithing to coincide with their usage counterparts. Similarly, Adamant has had the same fix. Upon your first time of login, smitjing item adn was of these metals will have turned to tokens, which you can use in the Artisan Workshop to convert back to armor or to Salvage. As someone who used to High Alch Rune Platebodies a day, this was quite a shock, losing me 2 million GP overnight.

Im lvl 83 mining and 67 smithing. I want to make the most money possible while increasing both of the skills. Please leave your method of making the most money.

I know mining and smithing are not the fastest way to make GP but im asking what IS the fastest way to make money WHILE mining and smithing, im aiming to get to 85 mining and want to keep my smithing as close as possible.
To add to the other answers, I also highly recommend doing the shooting stars distraction at least once a day. It’s great mining experience.
You can only collect the reward once per day, but you can mine as many stars as you can find each day. The reward is 50k cash, 20 gold ores, Cosmic Runes and 52 Astral Runes. I might be a bit off on those rune counts, but it’s close. Also if you wear a fully-charged Amulet of Glory and Ring of Wealth while mining a star, you will collect a lot of gemstones. As previously mentioned, it will be worth your while to unlock the mining resource dungeons.
The first one is in the dwarven mine and requires 15 dungeoneering. It contains mithril, coal and the all important deposit box. There is also an assortment of iron, mithril, gold and adamant ore right outside the dungeon and within easy access of that deposit box. The 2nd dungeon is within the mining guild. It requires 45 dungeoneering and contains Rune, Adamant and mithril rocks. Sorry no deposit box. Mining and smithing is NOT the fastest way, mining sure is a fast way to make money, but once you smith something you are making less of a profit.
If your a member I would try to keep mining until you can mine runite ore. Simply mine all the addy in the rescource dunge then go to deposit box in the other dwarven mine resoucre dunge and mine mithril while your waiting for adamant to respawn.
Good way to make money. As for smithing the best way to make money is to either superheat bars mithril and addy are most profitable or make c’balls. I would recommend mining over smithing though, even though you need 55 dunge, the money is definitively worth it, plus you can mine the 4 runite rocks in the resource dunge when you reach 85 mining!
